One of Harcourt Brown & Carey’s latest engagements is with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). In 2015, HB&C completed a Finance Tune-Up for this office, providing recommendations on how existing funding could be used to strengthen clean energy finance offerings to better meet its goals.
In 2016, HB&C will be supporting DCEO through developing the design for a ready-to-launch solar energy finance offering. The engagement will occur in phases, which include:
- A market research phase, with a heavy emphasis of engaging industry stakeholders to understand needs and gaps.
- Identification of final target markets.
- Identification of financial mechanisms to meet program goals.
- Program design and associated summary report that DCEO can use as a roadmap to launching a successful solar finance program.
Look for updates as we dive into this project soon.
